Barback – Hospitality Support Role

About the role

The Barback will support the bartender in maintaining a well‑stocked, clean, and efficient bar environment at Harvest Caye, Belize's premier island destination.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with opening, side, and closing duties, including restocking garnishes, ice, mixers, liquor, wine, and beer.
• Maintain bar cleanliness by wiping surfaces, sweeping, mopping, and handling broken glassware.
• Support the bartender during service, run food, clear plates, and manage trash throughout the shift.
• Monitor inventory, restock for the next shift, and report low stock to management.
• Ensure compliance with uniform, grooming, safety, sanitation, and harassment‑free workplace standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous barback experience is an asset.
• Food handler’s certificate.
• Physically fit, hardworking, and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of bar operations.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
