EMIS Technical Lead (Education Management Information System)

About the role

FHI 360 is seeking an EMIS Technical Lead to provide overall technical direction and support for education data systems in Belize. The role will split time between onsite presence in Belize and remote work, and is contingent on award of a MCC‑funded project.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical implementation and strengthening of the Belize Education Management Information System (BEMIS).
• Develop and implement processes for data governance, data quality, school performance monitoring, teacher management, dashboards, reporting, education planning, and accountability.
• Ensure data integration and interoperability across quality‑assurance and assessment systems.
• Drive change management and user adoption to align BEMIS enhancements with national assessment systems.
• Support government counterparts in strengthening education data management and utilization.

Required profile

• Proven technical leadership experience in education data systems or EMIS.
• Ability to work onsite in Belize part‑time and remotely for the remainder of the time.
• Experience with data governance, data quality, and system integration.
• Strong understanding of school performance monitoring and teacher appraisal tracking.
