Finance and Payroll Specialist

About the role

Peak Outsourcing Belize is seeking a Finance and Payroll Specialist to manage payroll processing, ensure statutory compliance, and support day‑to‑day finance operations on site. The role serves as the primary finance and payroll point of contact for the Belize office.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Business Support Coordinator on vendor invoices, reviewing supporting documents before forwarding to HQ.
• File and organize vendor invoices and other finance‑related paperwork.
• Act as the main point of contact for all finance and payroll matters in Belize.
• Process payroll, maintain accurate payroll records, and perform reconciliations.
• Monitor statutory compliance deadlines (SSB, PAYE, etc.) and ensure timely filings.
• Assist with accounts payable, validating vendor invoices and documentation.
• Support month‑end closing by preparing schedules and reconciliations required by HQ.
• Maintain organized financial records and assist internal and external audits.
• Coordinate with government agencies, banks, auditors, and other external stakeholders as needed.
• Work with the Business Support Coordinator to maintain accurate asset records.
• Perform additional finance and administrative duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Residency in Belize.
• Ability to handle full‑cycle payroll processing.
• Experience with statutory compliance requirements such as SSB and PAYE.
• Strong organizational skills for managing invoices, records, and audits.
