Purchasing Agent

About the role

The Purchasing Agent supports daily procurement activities for Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, ensuring that vessels receive the goods and services they need to operate smoothly. This role works closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to manage requisitions, orders, and deliveries.

Key responsibilities

• Review requisitions, create purchase orders, and execute orders according to established procurement procedures.
• Expedite inventory and direct‑charge purchase orders for assigned vessels, tracking shipments to guarantee on‑time delivery.
• Process manual purchase orders when required and maintain complete documentation.
• Obtain quotes, support item selection, and coordinate with suppliers for non‑catalog items.
• Maintain system setup, including users, approval paths, and filters, to meet internal control requirements.
• Serve as the first point of contact for internal users regarding purchasing tools, requisitions, and order status.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable to ensure proper invoice processing and policy compliance.
• Support the implementation and ongoing operation of e‑procurement and Procure‑to‑Pay tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in procurement operations.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and e‑procurement processes.

Required skills

• PeopleSoft (ERP) experience.
• eProcurement platform usage.
• eCatalog management.
• eRFX and eAuction processes.
