Security Officer

About the role

We are seeking Security Officers to protect our premises, assets, personnel, and guests at Harvest Caye, Belize. The role requires high visibility, professionalism, and the ability to respond to security incidents across diverse environments.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a visible security presence to deter illegal activity, vandalism, theft, and property damage.
• Patrol the island’s facilities, including beach, pool, lagoon, and nature center, in all weather conditions.
• Provide assistance to guests, enforce policies, and report incidents to Security Supervisors.
• Care for the security dog by providing food, water, and health updates.

Required profile

• Minimum 18 years old with a clean local background check and valid police record.
• Ability to work unsupervised, shift work including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Physically fit, able to stand and walk for entire shifts and pass a first‑responder course.
• Professional appearance, honest, reliable, and strong time‑management skills.

Required skills

• Computer literacy – Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Intermediate to advanced English verbal and written communication.
• Basic typing and computer software proficiency.
