Senior Backend Engineer (TypeScript/Python/C#) – Remote

About the role

Kake is a remote‑first community of senior engineers building high‑performance, scalable backend services for global products. As a Senior Backend Engineer you will own end‑to‑end delivery of services using TypeScript, Python or C#.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship production backend services in TypeScript, Python or C#.
• Create and version REST or GraphQL APIs that serve as contracts for frontend teams.
• Make architecture decisions on data modelling, service boundaries and event‑driven components.
• Model and query data across relational and NoSQL stores, selecting appropriate databases per use case.
• Write clean, well‑tested code and implement observability for live systems.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with hands‑on work in TypeScript, Python or C#.
• Strong system‑design instincts, including data modelling and event‑driven thinking.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced remote environment.
