Solid Waste Staff

About the role

The Solid Waste Staff member is responsible for the operation and maintenance of solid waste handling equipment at Harvest Caye, ensuring waste is collected, segregated, and processed according to company policy.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and segregate solid waste from guest areas on a set schedule.
• Operate the Incinerator, Bramidan X25 Baler, and Orca Digester safely.
• Clean and maintain recycling equipment and ensure a safe work environment.
• Assist with garbage off‑loads and respond promptly to department requests.
• Report any improper waste segregation or policy violations to the Environmental Supervisor.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work 7 days a week in a multicultural environment.
• Professional appearance, good hygiene, and strong workplace etiquette.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift over 25 lb, and work in varying temperatures.

Required skills

• Operation of small waste‑handling machinery.
• Basic English verbal and written communication.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and basic safety course.
