Data Systems Manager – Central Executing Unit

About the role

The Central Executing Unit of the Ministry of Finance is seeking a Data Systems Manager to design, implement and maintain a secure, scalable and user‑friendly data management infrastructure for the Unit's operational, monitoring and reporting needs, working closely with the Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist. The post is a 24‑month individual consultancy based in Belmopan.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy and maintain a centralised data management system using SharePoint and other tools.
• Establish and enforce data governance protocols, including security, access controls and backup procedures.
• Optimise databases and digital systems for reporting, monitoring and evaluation, automating routine data submissions.
• Develop interactive dashboards and visualisations in Power BI, integrating geospatial data and API connections.
• Provide technical support, training and documentation for staff and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years experience in data management, systems development or business intelligence.
• At least 2 years hands‑on experience with SharePoint or Microsoft 365 tools.
• Legal right to work in Belize for the contract duration.

What we offer

• Gross annual salary BZ$46,000–BZ$52,000.
• 20 % gratuity on contract completion.
• Applicable allowances, subject to statutory deductions.
