CAD Data Generation & Validation Specialist (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced CAD Data Generation & Validation Specialist to join our remote team. You will use FreeCAD to create, edit, and validate high‑quality parametric mechanical models that will feed an AI training dataset.

Key responsibilities

• Produce, edit, and validate precise parametric CAD models in FreeCAD while adhering to engineering best practices.
• Develop a diverse library of mechanical components, assemblies, and design variations for AI dataset creation.
• Apply GD&T principles to ensure models reflect real‑world manufacturing tolerances.
• Conduct detailed CAD quality‑assurance reviews and resolve geometric or dimensional issues.
• Incorporate reviewer feedback efficiently and maintain consistency across deliverables.
• Use Python scripting to automate repetitive modeling tasks and improve parametrization.
• Document modeling workflows, design decisions, validation procedures, and revisions.
• Evaluate models against manufacturing requirements and maintain accurate engineering documentation.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in mechanical design, CAD modeling, manufacturing, or industrial engineering.
• Strong proficiency with FreeCAD or comparable parametric CAD software.
• Demonstrated expertise in parametric modeling, GD&T, and engineering design principles.
• Familiarity with common manufacturing processes and their impact on component design.
• Experience with Python or CAD scripting for workflow automation (highly desirable).
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.
