Court Representative

About the role

The Court Representative will act on behalf of Quickstop Finance Center, presenting and arguing cases before magistrates across Belize. The role involves preparing legal documents, coordinating with process servers, and ensuring defendants move through the legal process efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file legal documents and claims at various magistrate courts.
• Provide summons, court orders, and related documents to process servers for delivery.
• Follow up with process servers and magistrate courts to track legal proceedings.
• Adhere to company KPIs related to court process efficiency and preparedness.
• Conduct due‑diligence and contact customers with upcoming hearing dates to seek settlements.
• Present and argue cases before magistrate courts to achieve favourable settlements.
• Ensure payments made at courts are reflected accurately in defendant accounts.
• Update customer accounts and loan statuses in the Vergent LMS with current court information.
• Provide court updates and feedback to improve processing.
• Collaborate with TCSA collectors for seamless communication with customers.
• Promote positive relationships with magistrate courts and their staff.

Required profile

• Associate’s Degree in Business (minimum).
• At least 2 years of experience in legal representation, paralegal work, or process serving.
• Strong respect for confidentiality and discretion.
• Disciplined, self‑driven, flexible and punctual.

Required skills

• Intermediate computer skills.
