Full Stack Engineer – Clojure & ClojureScript (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a senior Full Stack Engineer with deep expertise in Clojure and ClojureScript to own features of a retail AI outfitting platform. The role involves designing databases, building backend services that integrate large‑language‑model APIs, and creating responsive frontend interfaces for a product catalog serving millions of shoppers.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement end‑to‑end features covering database schema, backend logic, and frontend UI.
• Develop backend services that call and consume LLM APIs to power AI‑driven functionality.
• Orchestrate multi‑step AI workflows and manage semantic search pipelines across large product catalogs.
• Make independent architectural and technical decisions within a fast‑paced, ownership‑driven team.
• Collaborate with experienced Clojure engineers to maintain high code quality and performance.

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong command of Clojure and practical experience with ClojureScript.
• Solid background in PostgreSQL and SQL schema design.
• Hands‑on experience integrating LLM APIs in production.
• Familiarity with REST API design principles.
• Comfort working in the functional programming ecosystem (shadow‑cljs, re‑frame, reagent).
• Exposure to prompt engineering or handling non‑deterministic model outputs.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
