Remote Spanish Interpreter (Contract)

About the role

Propio Language Services is seeking remote Spanish contract interpreters to join its OnDemand service, providing real‑time consecutive interpretation for a variety of client sectors such as medical, legal and social services.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver consecutive, first‑person interpretation for clients via the PropioONE platform.
• Follow all interpreter protocols, confidentiality policies and HIPAA compliance requirements.
• Continuously expand vocabulary and subject‑matter knowledge relevant to client industries.

Required profile

• Updated resume in English and English language proficiency at ILR level 3 or higher.
• Successful completion of a mock oral interpretation session and Propio’s medical terminology assessment.
• Pass a full background check and sign a confidentiality and HIPAA compliance agreement.

Required skills

• Consecutive interpretation in Spanish and English.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and interpreter ethics.
