Comptroller & Commercial Director (Construction)

About the role

Cisco Construction is seeking a long‑term, career‑oriented Comptroller / Commercial Director to lead the financial team and commercial operations for major road, highway and bridge projects across Belize. The ideal candidate is an experienced finance professional with deep knowledge of heavy construction accounting.

Key responsibilities

• Track project budgets, labor, equipment and material costs to ensure profitability.
• Lead monthly progress billings (IPCs) and quantity reconciliations with customers and engineers.
• Manage daily cash flow, financial reporting, vendor payments and credit/bonding lines.
• Partner with the COO to review new tenders, variation orders and contract claims.

Required profile

• Strong background in heavy civil construction accounting, unit‑price billing and contract management.
• Accounting degree or certification (CPA, ACCA or equivalent) with deep knowledge of job‑costing systems.
• Experience handling public sector contracts, international consultant approvals and progress claims.
• High integrity, attention to detail and commitment to a long‑term career with the company.
