Manager - Deal Management

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Manager – Deal Management to lead the end‑to‑end deal process across cross‑functional teams. The role focuses on financial analysis, negotiation, and strategic planning to win and retain business with issuers, merchants, and key customers.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing long‑term strategies that enhance profitability and competitive leverage.
• Lead the financial side of the deal process and collaborate with Customer Account Managers.
• Serve on the deal committee, create policy frameworks, and improve deal‑proposal processes.
• Negotiate contracts and business terms for complex deals, escalating any complexities.
• Perform day‑to‑day financial modelling and build business cases to align proposals with customer needs while protecting Mastercard interests.
• Drive customer negotiations, deliver presentations, and provide recommendations to finalize agreements.
• Demonstrate thought leadership in the payments industry and provide both executive and operational perspectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing complex deal proposals and identifying areas of concern.
• Strong problem‑solving ability with a solution‑oriented approach.
• Extensive experience in financial modelling and business‑case development.
• Collaborative style with the ability to work efficiently across multiple teams.
• Passion for the customer experience journey and an entrepreneurial mindset.
