Porter – Customer Service & Luggage Handling

About the role

The Porter will support daily operations at the Caye Caulker terminal by handling passenger luggage and providing friendly assistance. This role requires physical stamina and a customer‑focused attitude to ensure a smooth travel experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assist customers with loading and unloading luggage.
• Maintain cleanliness of the working area and luggage zones.
• Provide information on schedules, services and travel destinations.
• Tag and sort luggage according to destination.
• Distribute luggage to the appropriate collection points.
• Support other departments as needed to keep terminal operations running smoothly.

Required profile

• High school diploma.
• Fluency in English; Spanish is a plus.
• Previous experience in transportation or hospitality preferred.
• Dependable, detail‑oriented, safety‑conscious and adaptable.

Required skills

• Ability to lift and carry heavy luggage.
• Comfort working outdoors and standing for long periods.
• Friendly, professional demeanor with strong communication.
• Efficiently manage tasks during peak travel times.
