Team Lead / Chief of Party – Education Quality Assurance (Belize)

About the role

FHI 360 is seeking a seasoned Team Lead/Chief of Party to provide overall technical, strategic, and operational leadership for a Millennium Challenge Corporation‑funded education quality assurance activity in Belize. The role will be based in Belize and will drive the design and implementation of reforms that strengthen accountability for student learning.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison with MCC, MCA‑Belize, the Ministry of Education, Youth, Sports and Culture, and other key stakeholders.
• Provide strategic direction and oversight for all technical workstreams, ensuring integration across quality‑assurance frameworks, BEMIS strengthening, teacher and school‑leader policy reform, and performance‑management systems.
• Lead annual work planning, implementation monitoring, risk management, and adaptive management processes.
• Ensure compliance with MCC reporting standards, contractual obligations, and donor requirements.
• Promote evidence‑based decision‑making and build institutional capacity within the Belize education system.

Required profile

• Extensive experience leading large‑scale, multi‑partner education reform projects, preferably in an international development context.
• Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and navigate government and donor environments.
• Strong track record of delivering results on time, within budget, and in compliance with donor regulations.
