TVET Governance and Quality Assurance Specialist

About the role

Creative Associates International is seeking a TVET Governance and Quality Assurance Specialist to lead the design of regulatory and operational frameworks that ensure effective oversight of technical and vocational education and training (TVET) providers and programmes in Belize.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and refine regulatory policies and operational guidelines for TVET institutions.
• Design accreditation and certification systems aligned with national or regional qualification frameworks.
• Support institutional reforms to improve the quality and relevance of TVET programmes.
• Collaborate with government agencies, private‑sector partners and civil society to align TVET outcomes with labour market needs.
• Provide technical assistance and capacity‑building to national counterparts on competency‑based education and quality assurance processes.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in education policy, TVET, quality assurance, educational leadership or a related field.
• Minimum seven (7) years of experience developing or implementing TVET quality assurance systems, accreditation frameworks, or national vocational qualifications frameworks.
• Proven experience designing accreditation and certification mechanisms for training providers.
• Strong knowledge of competency‑based education and its alignment with qualification systems.
• Experience supporting institutional reforms within education or skills‑development systems.
