Barista

About the role

The Barista will be the face of the resort’s café, delivering a high‑quality coffee and beverage experience to guests enjoying Harvest Caye’s island amenities. You will work in a vibrant, guest‑focused environment, preparing hot and cold drinks, handling payments, and ensuring the café area remains clean and inviting.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, inform them of specials, take orders and process cash or card payments.
• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and other beverages, including grinding beans and operating espresso machines.
• Prepare light food items such as sandwiches and baked goods as needed.
• Package food and drinks for service, maintain display cases, and restock supplies.
• Clean and sanitize workstations, equipment, and utensils throughout the shift.
• Update signage and promotional displays to attract customers.
• Track inventory levels and order café supplies like coffee beans, milk, cups, and napkins.
• Perform routine maintenance on espresso machines, grinders, and coffee equipment.
