Cart Attendant – Beach Beverage Service

About the role

The Cart Attendant operates a mobile or stationary beverage cart on Harvest Caye, preparing and serving fresh coconuts and other drinks to guests in a high‑volume, outdoor environment.

Key responsibilities

• Transport, lift, and stock beverages, fresh coconuts, ice, cups, and utensils; safely open coconuts using a machete, cleaver or husking machine.
• Prepare and stock carts, track inventory with 100% accuracy, and notify management of low stock.
• Greet guests, operate a mobile POS system, handle cash/credit transactions, and upsell add‑ons including alcoholic beverages.
• Verify legal drinking age, practice responsible alcohol service, and maintain a harassment‑free environment.
• Follow health and safety regulations, sanitize tools and work areas, and dispose of organic waste safely.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Physical ability to lift 40–50 lb repeatedly, stand 6–8 hours, and work outdoors in heat or mild rain.
• Ability to use sharp cutting tools safely and perform manual dexterity tasks.
• English required; Spanish a plus.

Required skills

• Food safety and hygiene knowledge (Food Handler’s Card required).
• Operation of a mobile POS system and cash handling.
