Food & Beverage Manager – Beachfront Resort in Belize

About the role

The Food & Beverage Manager will lead all dining outlets, pool bar, pier bar, in‑room dining and events at The Placencia Resort. Reporting to the General Manager, the role is hands‑on during a major renovation and will transition operations to Remington Hospitality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Direct daily operations of all food‑and‑beverage outlets, ensuring quality food, prompt service and strict sanitation.
• Manage financial performance: drive revenue, control food, beverage and labour costs, and conduct monthly inventories.
• Ensure food safety, liquor controls and compliance with Belize health, licensing and labour regulations.
• Support the 2027 renovation by maintaining outlet operations, building staffing plans and documenting SOPs.
• Recruit, train, coach and evaluate team members, fostering engagement and retention.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of food‑and‑beverage leadership in a hotel or resort.
• Experience with hotel openings, transitions or renovations is strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to establish structure, processes, staffing and operational systems.
• Strong communication skills in English; Spanish is a plus.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Working knowledge of point‑of‑sale (POS) and inventory management systems.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation and responsible alcohol service.
