Junior Auditor

About the role

PKF Belize is seeking a motivated Junior Auditor to join its audit team. You will work under the guidance of senior auditors, gaining hands‑on experience in planning, fieldwork, and finalizing audit engagements for a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Perform substantive and compliance testing on client financial statements.
• Document audit workpapers in accordance with professional standards.
• Visit client premises to collect and verify supporting documentation.
• Identify control weaknesses and suggest areas for improvement.
• Assist in preparing audit reports and maintaining organized audit files.
• Collaborate with team members to meet engagement deadlines and deliver high‑quality service.

Required profile

• Foundational knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management capabilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively, take direction, and uphold confidentiality.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field; interest in CPA or ACCA certification is a plus.
• Willingness to travel locally for client visits.
