Phone & Field Enumerator - 1-Month Data Collection Project

About the role

Equilibrium, a consulting firm that generates social and economic evidence in Latin America and the Caribbean, is hiring Phone & Field Enumerators for a 1-month data collection project in Belize. Enumerators will contact study participants by phone and carry out in-person field visits in assigned communities. The contract is an Independent Services Agreement, with a projected start in December 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Phone surveys: call participants, explain consent and complete digital surveys.
• Field visits: go to households in Cayo, Stann Creek or Toledo to interview unreached participants.
• Data collection: use survey software on mobile devices and accurately log all call and visit results.
• Team collaboration: work with local health workers, attend training and join daily team check-ins.
• Administer the formal Informed Consent Protocol, ensuring participant confidentiality and data protection.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, Nursing or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in call centers, customer service or survey data collection.
• Must live in Cayo, Stann Creek or Toledo and be available full time for 1 month.
• English and Kriol; Spanish, Q'eqchi', Mopan Maya or Garifuna are a plus.

Required skills

• Comfortable using Android devices and survey apps.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

What we offer

• Fixed total fee of $1,040.00 BZD for the 1-month contract, paid as a single lump sum on completion.
• Pre-operational training and pilot sessions fully covered within the fee.
