Team Lead – Education Quality Assurance (Belize)

About the role

FHI 360 is seeking a qualified Team Lead/Chief of Party to provide overall technical, strategic, operational, and stakeholder leadership for an anticipated MCC‑funded education quality assurance activity in Belize. The role will be based in Belize and will commence once the award is secured.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison with MCC, MCA‑Belize, the Ministry of Education, Youth, Sports and Culture, and other key education stakeholders.
• Provide strategic direction and management oversight for the activity, ensuring integration across all technical workstreams.
• Lead annual work planning, implementation oversight, risk management, and adaptive management processes.
• Ensure compliance with MCC reporting standards and contractual obligations.
• Guide implementation of quality‑assurance frameworks, BEMIS strengthening, teacher and school‑leader policy reform, school improvement planning, and performance‑management systems.
• Promote evidence‑based decision‑making and build institutional capacity.

Required profile

• Proven experience providing leadership and strategic direction for large‑scale education or development projects.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Strong understanding of education quality‑assurance systems, data‑management platforms, and policy reform processes.
• Experience working with donor agencies such as the Millennium Challenge Corporation is preferred.
