About the role
FHI 360 is seeking a Chief of Party to lead the MCC Belize Training and Transitioning to Work Activity, a $125 million, five‑year initiative aimed at strengthening Belize’s technical and vocational education and training (TVET) system. The role is based in Belize and will commence once the award is secured.
Key responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership, management oversight, and technical direction for the project.
- Develop and manage the annual work plan, budgeting process, and quarterly progress reports.
- Build and supervise an effective project management team.
- Oversee a robust monitoring and evaluation system to track results.
- Coordinate activities and partners, serving as the primary liaison with MCC, the Belize government, and other stakeholders.
- Identify implementation risks early and adjust the program as needed.
- Ensure all contractual and technical deliverables meet quality, timeliness, and reporting requirements.
Required profile
- Proven experience leading large, multi‑partner development projects, preferably in education or TVET.
- Ability to work in complex, multicultural environments and manage diverse teams.
- Strong understanding of governance, financing, and quality‑assurance systems in the education sector.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
