Restaurant Manager – Luxury Resort

About the role

The Restaurant Manager will lead daily operations of the resort’s restaurant, ensuring a seamless, high‑quality dining experience for guests. Based on‑site at Prana Maya Island Resort in Stann Creek, Belize, the role combines staff leadership, guest service, and coordination with culinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise front‑of‑house staff, schedule shifts and manage performance.
• Oversee reservations, guest flow and table management to maintain service standards.
• Coordinate with kitchen and culinary leadership to align menu execution with the resort’s hyper‑local cuisine.
• Monitor inventory, budgeting and cost controls, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Handle guest concerns promptly, delivering solutions that uphold the luxury brand.
• Support special events, private functions and seasonal promotions.
• Conduct training and coaching sessions for staff development.

Required profile

• Strong customer service orientation with ability to anticipate and resolve guest needs.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with staff, culinary teams and resort leadership.
• Proven experience hiring, onboarding and managing restaurant personnel, including performance reviews.
• Knowledge of food & beverage operations, service standards and health & safety practices.
• Prior experience in restaurant or resort management, preferably in a luxury environment.
• Demonstrated leadership, problem‑solving and organizational abilities.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
• Relevant hospitality or management education or certifications are a plus.
