Lagoon Rental Staff

About the role

The Lagoon Rental Staff member ensures safety and excellent service for guests using the Manatee Lagoon and Nature Trail on Harvest Caye. You will promote island activities, handle equipment rentals, and support daily island operations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain safety of the lagoon and nature trail, especially during ship operation days with up to 4,000 cruise guests.
• Respond calmly to emergencies, using VHF radios, whistles and flags.
• Repair, clean and disinfect rental equipment such as kayaks, paddleboards, electric boats and wave runners.
• Conduct regular inventories and assist with securing equipment during inclement weather.
• Provide guest information, promote activities, and handle tour dispatches.
• Participate in daily island upkeep, trainings, and drills.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in resort hospitality or similar.
• Ability to swim and respond to in‑water emergencies.
• First Aid & CPR certification (PADI Emergency First Responder or equivalent).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Professional appearance, strong customer‑service orientation and ability to work 7 days a week.
