Quality Assurance Specialist I

About the role
The Quality Assurance Specialist I will test features within existing software modules and support future software projects. You will collaborate directly with stakeholders to plan and execute test efforts across multiple web‑based products.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, create, and document test cases for projects.
- Set and meet schedule estimates, timelines, and milestones.
- Identify issues, generate issue reports, and communicate risk mitigation strategies.
- Reproduce customer‑reported issues and assist developers with analysis and debugging.
- Participate in production deployments, verifying patches and bug fixes.
- Coordinate daily testing activities with the Software Development Manager and development team.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related technology field, or equivalent experience.
- 2–3 years of software quality assurance experience.
- Experience testing websites, SaaS, or other web‑based technologies.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to investigate, isolate, and reliably reproduce issues.
Required skills
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- T‑SQL and relational databases
- Issue tracking tools such as JIRA, Assembla, Bugzilla
- Windows and macOS operating systems
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio) and Google Drive
- Familiarity with major web browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer, Edge, Safari)
