Human Resource (HR) Business Partner

About the role

The Human Resource (HR) Business Partner will act as a trusted strategic advisor to designated departments within the Central Bank of Belize. The role focuses on aligning people strategies with the bank’s overall objectives, ensuring a capable and engaged workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with executive and department managers to provide strategic workforce advice.
• Lead workforce planning, talent reviews, succession planning, capability assessments and risk management initiatives.
• Design and execute recruitment and talent acquisition strategies that meet current and future needs.
• Advise on performance management, talent development, and employee effectiveness.
• Conduct organizational reviews, recommend structural improvements, and support redesign and change initiatives.
• Analyze workforce data, prepare reports, business cases and strategic recommendations.
• Prepare and present people plans and workforce reports to senior leadership.
• Mentor and develop HR team members, fostering accountability and high‑quality service delivery.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in HR, HR development, business administration, organisational development, industrial‑organisational psychology or related field with at least three years of relevant experience, OR a bachelor’s degree with at least six years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of Belize labour, social security and income tax legislation.
• Familiarity with the Central Bank of Belize Act and related financial sector regulations.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
